CASA GRANDE — The Casa Grande Art Museum doors will remain closed this season due to COVID-19.
The organization announced this week that because the historic house in which the museum is located is too small to allow for social distancing, it will not host shows for the 2020-21 season.
The art museum is run by the Casa Grande Friends of the Arts with a goal of using the museum as a creative arts center for residents to see a diverse selection of quality art.
The Casa Grande Art Museum is generally open November through May. Each year, the first show of the season features members of the Casa Grande Art Association.
The Casa Grande Art Museum is located in a historic house built in 1929 by Gus Kratzka at 319 W. Third St., on the corner of Third and Maricopa streets.
The building and the museum yard have gone through a series of updates and improvements in the past year.
