SCOTTSDALE — Celebrating its 12 years of fighting all cancers, with emphasis on breast cancer, the Arizona-based charity Bikers for Boobies AZ will hold its annual motorcycle event on Saturday, Oct. 9.

The event is sponsored in part by Chuck Franklin Law, ANC — Arizona Natural Concepts, Jolie’s Place, Law Tigers, Fascinations, Mananalu Water, Harley-Davidson of Scottsdale, Dirty Dogg Saloon and many more, a press release from event organizers said.

“It is hard to believe that we have been doing this for 12 years,” Bikers for Boobies AZ said in the press release. “It’s a great feeling knowing that together, we are raising awareness, financially helping those with cancer through our grant process and fighting all types of cancer with the emphasis on breast cancer. We’re hoping to raise more funding and awareness through this event.”

Event activities begin at Harley-Davidson of Scottsdale and end with a party at the Dirty Dogg Saloon.

Among the bands scheduled to perform are Unchained, Moonshine Voodoo, Skarlett Fever, Whiskey Dogz and international recording artist and former Guns N’ Roses band member Gilby Clarke, according to the press release.

There will also be raffle prizes, silent auction vendors, food and other attractions.

Those wishing to participate may make a reservation online at Bikers4Boobiesaz.org. Cost to participate is $30 per person. Those who do not ride may participate for a $20 donation. Attendees must be at least 21.

Over the years, Bikers for Boobies AZ has helped thousands of men and women fighting cancer.

“We have assisted over 500 women with free mammograms, supplied over $185,000 in grants for medical and survival needs for people with all types of cancer with emphasis on breast cancer,” the press release said.

Bikers for Boobies has given grants to help people with various types of cancer, including that of the breast, kidney, basal cell carcinoma, skin, lung, colon, leukemia, ovarian, osteosarcoma, bone and myeloma.

“Bikers for Boobies has donated over $100,000 to charities throughout the Valley such as Singleton, Casting for Recovery, Don’t be a Chump — Check for a Lump and many more,” the press release said. “Bikers for Boobies AZ is looking to top these numbers of 2019. It’s for a great cause, Bikers for Boobies AZ encourages as many people as possible to participate, donate and be a part of the solution to cancer.”
