The library has a new StoryWalk story in Peart Park. “We’re Different, We’re the Same” is a Sesame Street-inspired, enduring, colorful and charmingly illustrated book offering an easy, enjoyable way to learn about differences — and what truly matters. Patrons may visit the story in Peart Park next to the Main Library.
How to place a request
To place a request for an item, patrons may visit cglibrary.org through a web browser and type into the “Quick Library Search” text box the title or author. Or, patrons may browse through the different carousels to find a book, DVD, CD or audiobook, then click on “Place Request” on the right side. Type in the library barcode number (located on the back of your library card). Enter the password/PIN and click on Log-in. Select Casa Grande as the pickup location and click on Submit Request. The request will be placed, and a notification will be sent by phone, email or text when the item is ready to be picked up. Those who do not know their password/PIN may call the library at 520-421-8710 during business hours.
Hours at Main
The Main Library lobby is open for circulation services, checkouts, returns and holds. Hours are:
- 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday.
- 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.
- Saturday and Sunday, closed.
Curbside pickup is available during regular library hours. Late fees will not be charged during this time. Returned materials will be quarantined for 24-48 hours. Public computers and study rooms are offered for patron use. One-hour time slots are available starting at 9 a.m. Use is limited to one hour per patron per day. Vista Grande Library remains closed.
Summer Reading Program
Summer reading logs are available online or paper logs may be picked up at the Main library. Weekly activity grab bags are available for pickup at Main either in the lobby or curbside. Visit cg.azsummerreading.org to register and log minutes online. Summer Reading runs through July 10.
