Poetry for teens intimidated by poetry
Form got you fuddled? Stressing over stressed/unstressed syllables? Come redefine poetry with a workshop that focuses on exploring personal interests and ignoring the so-called rules. You’ll look at young adult examples of free-verse poetry as inspiration and have the opportunity to write some of our own. If you feel like you just don’t “get” poetry, or if you’re struggling to put your ideas on the page — this workshop with Jennifer Bushroe is for you.
Join in via Zoom to learn more about how to write poetry and meet up with others who like to write. This workshop on June 17 at 1 p.m. is intended for grades six to 12. You must register to get the Zoom link emailed to you. Register at https://pcld.libnet.info/event/5044233.
