Youth on Track Cycling

CASA GRANDE — The Youth On Track Cycling middle and high school mountain bike racing teams will travel to Fort Huachuca on Saturday and Sunday to compete against cyclists from around the region.

The teams — Casa Grande Cougars, Vista Grande Spartans and Youth On Track Composite — consist of students from throughout the community.

The weekend race marks their third competitive event in a series of five races.

About 75 teams and more than 1,138 athletes representing 192 schools from across the region will come together for the mountain bike racing competition.

Youth On Track Cycling is in its seventh competition season in the Interscholastic Cycling Association.

The teams will be on the road again Oct. 19 and 20 to take part in a competition at McDowell Mountain Regional Park in Fountain Hills.

The state finals of the season are Nov. 2 and 3 at Waddell’s White Tanks Regional Park.
