The webinars are:

Friday, Sept. 11, from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. — “How Grandparenting Has Changed.”

  • National Grandparents Day was proclaimed to be the first Sunday after Labor Day in 1978. This year it is celebrated on Sept. 13. This webinar will explore the role of grandparents today and how that role has changed since 1978.   • Tuesday, Sept. 29, from 11 a.m. to noon — “Portion Distortion.” Portion sizes have grown so much over the past 20 years. Growing portion sizes are changing what Americans think of as a “normal” portion. In this presentation, you will learn the difference between a portion and serving, and how to identify portion distortion. You will also learn about the amount of physical activity required to burn off the extra calories provided by today’s portions.   • Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 10 a.m. to noon — “Senior Spotlight.” CHAMMP Prevention Coalition is presenting its first Senior Spotlight Conference. Join in for a free, virtual conference. There will be information presented on: Substance Use among Older Adults in Pinal County, Estate Planning, Current and Ongoing Scams, as well as a relaxing Chair Yoga session.
