An upcoming show at the Paramount includes a tribute to Aretha Franklin performed by Arizona-based Kandice Mayo.

CASA GRANDE — Two upcoming shows at the Paramount Theater aim to get area residents laughing, dancing and having a good time.

Live stand-up returns to the Paramount on Saturday, Jan. 22, with the Mellow B Comedy Show taking center stage.

The show features comedy with live stand-up routines by Arizona-based comedians Jas Clay, Joel Cooper, T.Dot Kingsby and Ray Love Carter.

It is hosted by Phoenix-area comedian Bobby Johnson, also known as DJ Mellow B. Music includes performances by area entertainer Eric Harris.

The comedy show begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 for general admission or $35 VIP seating. Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase.

The sweet tunes of Motown return to the theater on Jan. 29 as the Motown Review concert takes the stage. The show features musical tributes to some of Motown’s legendary performers.

A tribute to Diana Ross will be performed by Arizona-based singer Tracy Sanders. Maricopa-based singer Eric Harris will perform a Stevie Wonder tribute and Arizona-based Kandice Mayo will sing the songs of Aretha Franklin.

The show begins at 2 p.m. Tickets are $23 for general admission and $28 VIP seating. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

The Paramount Theater requires that show attendees wear a mask when entering the building. Temperatures of all attendees will be taken before entry.
