FLORENCE — A Casa Grande man arrested in connection with the shooting death of a man outside the Radisson Hotel in Casa Grande pleaded not guilty to several charges Friday morning.

Giovanni Olivieri, 22, is charged with second-degree murder, endangerment, discharging a weapon in the city limits, disorderly conduct-fighting and assault.

Brian Robinette allegedly was shot and killed by Olivieri in September in the parking lot of the Radisson Hotel on North Pinal Avenue after Robinette attempted to stop a fight between Olivieri and Olivieri’s girlfriend.

Olivieri and his girlfriend fled after the shooting and he was arrested later the same day in the Rancho Grande neighborhood.

He's actually charged with first degree murder. This is a misprint. They withdrew the second degree charge and refiled with first degree. Hopefully Justice gets served. He took away a father, brother, and son for no reason other than being a coward. It's too bad his girlfriend wasn't charged too, she left him there to die without even calling 911 after he gave his life to save hers, then had the nerve to show up at court on the boyfriend's side.
