ELOY — A new senior-focused event set for Thursday aims to provide the 55-and-older community with the information they need to live healthy, happy lives.
More than 40 different businesses and organizations from throughout the area will be on-hand at the first Pinal County Senior Symposium, providing attendees with information about various services ranging from financial to health care and other area resources.
“We wanted to create a vendor fair for businesses to reach out to the 55-plus and winter visitor community in a new way,” said Zoe Cooper, special projects director for Casa Grande Valley Newspapers Inc.
Along with information about services, the event features food prepared by Robson Ranch.
“There will be free food for the first 100 attendees. We also have a few giveaways,” Cooper said.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Thursday in the Robson Ranch ballroom, 5750 N. Robson Blvd.
It’s open to the public and there is no admission fee.
The event is hosted by Kramer Media’s Casa Grande Dispatch newspaper, PinalCentral and Blossom Digital Marketing.
Orbitel Communications is the premier sponsor for the event. Other sponsors include Pinal County Federal Credit Union, Mature Asset Advisors, Visiting Angels, Professional Eye Care Associates, Research for Life, Desert Senita Community Health Center and Precious Dental Service.
