CASA GRANDE — A new pickup truck reported missing from a Casa Grande dealership turned up in an Eloy auto repair shop and a suspect was arrested.

The 2019 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup was reported missing from the Henry Brown dealership in Casa Grande on Sept. 30. The $40,000 truck reportedly was missing for as long as 17 days before the dealership realized it was stolen.

Henry Brown Automotive Group learned the pickup truck was unaccounted for during an audit, a police probably cause statement said.

The new Dodge truck was equipped with a tracking device and it was quickly located at Rico’s Tire Shop in Eloy.

Eloy Police were called and given a description of the vehicle.

“Eloy Police stopped the stolen pickup at Highway 87 and Highway 84 and detained the driver, Marshall Gray, and two passengers,” the officer wrote in the report.

The passengers told police Gray had picked them up in the truck in Coolidge and drove them to the tire shop in Eloy.

“During a Miranda interview the driver, Gray, said the vehicle belonged to Henry Brown and then invoked his right to counsel. The interview was terminated at that point,” the officer wrote.

Police said no one at the shop was involved in the theft.

Gray, 34, of Casa Grande, was booked into the Pinal County Adult Detention Center for theft-means of transportation and he was also wanted on an outstanding warrant for the same charge in a previous case.

Gray remained in jail pending the posting of a $6,000 secured bond and is to be arraigned on Tuesday in Pinal County Superior Court.
