CASA GRANDE — Casa Grande Police have made an arrest in the case of a teenager who was reported missing on Wednesday.

Wednesday evening Casa Grande Police posted a request to Facebook for help from the public in locating a 15-year-old resident who had been reported missing that day. Police stated they believed the teen might be in the company of a relative, Fred Caswell, 36.

With the help of the U.S. Marshals Service and Tempe Police, Casa Grande officers were able to track Caswell and the teen to a Tempe hotel.

Caswell was taken into custody without incident and booked into a Maricopa County jail. Multiple felony charges are to be forwarded to the Maricopa and Pinal County Attorney’s offices for review.

“This was a fluid and fast-paced investigation dealing with a mobile suspect and victim,” said Casa Grande Police Chief Mark McCrory. “The Casa Grande Police Department would like to thank the Tempe Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Service for their immediate assistance, which allowed this investigation to come to a rapid and safe conclusion.”
