The Casa Grande Kiwanis will not hold its regular meeting on Thursday. The group normally meets at the Casa Grande Union High School District Office building, 1362 N. Casa Grande Ave.

Pinal-Gila Council webinars

The Pinal-Gila Council for Senior Citizens presents a webinar, “How Grandparenting Has Changed,” from 11 a.m. to 11:45 on Friday using the Zoom application. National Grandparents Day was proclaimed to be the first Sunday after Labor Day in 1978. This year it is celebrated on Sept. 13. The webinar will explore the role of grandparents today and how that role has changed since 1978. American Legion Auxiliary

The American Legion Auxiliary meets on Tuesday at 1 p.m. for lunch followed by a meeting at 2 p.m. at Mimi’s, 1005 N. Promenade Parkway. Attendees may see what’s new in the auxiliary, which is still collecting school supplies.

CHAMMP Prevention Coalition

CHAMMP is a prescription misuse prevention coalition, developed to educate older adults and their caregivers about the safe use, storage and disposal of medications, resulting in safer communities for all ages. CHAMMP meets monthly from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on the third Thursday starting Sept. 17 until June 17 to develop innovative ideas to assist seniors and their caregivers in safe medication management, including opioids. All ages may attend. CHAMMP welcomes new ideas and information sharing, as this gives the coalition a well-rounded view on what’s happening and ways to meet goals.
