Activities taking place at Casa Grande Valley Elks Lodge 1957 include:

  • Wednesday: grill night from 5 to 6:30
  • Thursday: women’s shuffleboard, 12:30 p.m.; appetizers, 5 to 6 p.m.; Queen of Hearts at 6:30 p.m.
  • Friday: mixed shuffleboard, 12:30 p.m.; chicken Cordon Bleu, 5 to 6:20 p.m.
  • Saturday: bingo from 2 to 4 p.m.
  • Sunday: breakfast, 9 to 11 a.m.

NARFE meeting

The Casa Grande Valley Chapter of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association meet at 10 a.m. on Friday in the Casa Grande Lakes clubhouse, 515 W. Casa Grande Lakes Blvd. All current and retired federal employees, spouses and surviving spouses may attend. Collections of non-perishable food for the Casa Grande Food Bank will be accepted. Pinal County Qualified Opportunity Zone

FLORENCE — The Pinal County Qualified Opportunity Zone Investment and Development Forum is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at the Florence Library and Community Center, 778 N. Main St. Pinal Alliance is partnering with Pinal County and Jennings Strouss to present the forum. Attendees will meet with property owners, investors, opportunity zone financial investment experts and officials from the county, cities and towns involved in the investment and development of the various Pinal County qualified opportunity zones. Questions will be answered. In order to maximize the QOZ benefits, attendees must begin the investment in 2019. The event is open to the public. Event registration includes lunch.
