Blood drive at San Tan Veteran Center

FLORENCE — Joe Foss American Legion Post 97 is hosting a Vitalant Neighborhood Blood Drive event Monday from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the San Tan Valley Veteran Center, 5764 E. Hunt Highway in Florence. Donors must set up advance appointments at www.BloodHero.com, using sponsor code Post97 or call 1-877-25-Vital to schedule an appointment. All blood donations are tested for COVID-19 antibodies. College, Career and Beyond

An in-person workshop, College, Career and Beyond, is being offered by the Casa Grande Alliance. Aimed at those who want to know more about high school and college, the workshop is a two-day camp in which attendees will learn to create a personal vision statement, be intentional, action planning, stress management and the importance of school. Middle and high school students are welcome. Offered on Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The last session is July 21 and 22. Free lunch will be provided. Lunch and Learn Webinar: The Rise of Fentanyl in Arizona

The Casa Grande Alliance hosts a webinar at noon Wednesday that will help people better understand the dangerous rise of fentanyl so that the community can come together to take action for young people.

Event for job-seekers planned

ELOY — Local First Arizona hosts an event on Thursday between 4:30 and 6 p.m. at Eloy City Hall, 595 C St., to help people start connecting to local opportunities based on their skills and interests. Attendees will be able to take a free, 5-minute career assessment that shows the top three industries that best align with their skills and interests. No event registration required.
