CASA GRANDE — An unidentified man caused a disturbance at the Casa Grande Whataburger Tuesday evening when he appeared to threaten people with what was originally believed to be a machete.
According to Thomas Anderson, Casa Grande Police Department spokesman, the man was upset and may have been experiencing some emotional issues.
A call came into the police dispatch center at 5:30 p.m. that a man was threatening people with a machete at the restaurant located at 405 E. Florence Blvd. But Anderson said when police arrived on the scene they discovered the man only had a plastic toy sword.
Casa Grande police calmed him down and took him home. He was not charged or cited for the incident.
