Helping the garden grow

Members of the Vista Grande baseball team recently participated in a volunteer project to help get the Casa Grande Middle School garden in shape for spring planting. The volunteer project was led by Jim Jepsen, University of Arizona Cooperative Extension, and Elias Rangel, Casa Grande Alliance AmeriCorps member. Gardening is regularly scheduled from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and community volunteers are welcome. Call 520-836-5022 for more information or to help.
