CASA GRANDE — An 81-year-old woman was confronted by a masked man inside her house Sunday morning, police said.
The subject entered the woman’s home in the 500 block of Kingman Loop at 10:20 a.m. The house is located in the northwest part of Casa Grande, just south of Kortsen Road.
“The male subject, who covered his face with a blue bandana, was armed with a knife when he entered a residence,” Casa Grande Police spokesman Thomas Anderson said. “He went through the victim’s open garage door — it was partially open. He went through the garage door and into the home.”
Anderson said the woman was going into the house from the backyard when she confronted the man in her house.
“He demanded her phone, credit card and the keys to her car,” Anderson said.
The home invader left the house with the items and the woman’s car but did not injure her.
“We found the vehicle a few hours later up around Paul Mason (Sports Complex). Since that has occurred, there has been no activity with any other calls like this,” Anderson said, adding police don’t have a solid description of the robber.
