ELOY — Cadets from the Civil Air Patrol 131 Squadron traveled to Casa Grande on Dec. 6 and took to the sky.
Cadets got to experience flying a Cessna 182 under the guidance of CAP pilots. Each cadet spent 30 to 45 minutes at the controls and learned basic flight maneuvers.
The flight are conducted each month between October and April, allowing the cadets numerous opportunities to fly.
The Eloy Composite Squadron meets every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and is open to kids age 12-18.
