CASA GRANDE — A 29-year-old Casa Grande man has been arrested on suspicion of possessing and distributing child porn, police said.

The Casa Grande Police Department arrested Bernard Johnston IV at his residence in the 700 block of West O’Neil Drive on March 31. He was booked into the Pinal County Adult Detention Center and charges of sexual exploitation of a minor, possession and distribution of child pornography are being forwarded to the Pinal County Attorney’s Office for review.

He remains in custody pending the posting of a $100,000 cash only bond.

CGPD was made aware of Johnston’s alleged criminal activity via cyber tips received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and Internet Crimes Against Children. Police executed a physical search warrant at Johnston’s residence, resulting in the seizure of multiple items of evidence to include computers, cellular phones and other devices.

During this investigation, police reportedly discovered Johnston sent images of child pornography to his girlfriend, 29-year-old Casa Grande resident Tabitha Reedy. According to a CGPD press release, multiple images of child pornography were found on Reedy’s cellular phone. Regarding Reedy, charges of sexual exploitation of a minor are also being forwarded to the Pinal County Attorney’s Office for review.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation as CGPD continues to process evidence and await forensic analysis of the seized devices.
