CASA GRANDE — The Casa Grande Elementary School District Governing Board will meet one final time Tuesday evening before students return to school.
Students and teachers are currently on fall break and will begin returning to school for hybrid learning beginning on Oct. 19, depending on grade level.
Students in kindergarten and first grade will return to school beginning Oct. 19 while students in grades 2-8 will return to campus on Oct. 26.
During the meeting, the board will discuss its annual report on the expenditure of budget override and bond funds.
Arizona districts are required to hold a meeting between Sept. 1 and Oct. 31 in which reports are provided on capital improvement funded through bonding and expenditure of budget override funds.
Total bond funds expended during the 2019-20 fiscal year totaled $2,943,263.
This agenda item will only be a topic of discussion and will allow for public comment.
During the meeting the board may also approve the 2019-20 Annual Financial Report and its authorization to be submitted to the Arizona Department of Education and Pinal County School Office.
The board will also vote to accept donations. United Way donated 2,000 adult disposable masks. Arizona Complete Health donated 200 adult and 400 child cloth reusable face masks at an approximate value of $1,500.
Masks will be required for students and staff as they return to campus.
The meeting is open to the public and will begin at 6 p.m. in the Governing Board room at the administrative offices located on Kortsen Road.
