CASA GRANDE — A Casa Grande man is facing several charges after allegedly getting in a fight, dropping a child, damaging a car and resisting arrest.

According to Pinal County Superior Court records, on Aug. 7 around 4 p.m., Casa Grande Police received a call that David L. Coyle-Hodges, 25, had allegedly become belligerent with the caller after drinking alcohol. The caller reportedly was trying to get ready for work and told Coyle-Hodges that he was being too loud.

Coyle-Hodges allegedly grabbed the caller by the shoulders and yelled before the two got into an argument over the car keys. As the argument continued, Coyle-Hodges allegedly grabbed a young child living in the home. He allegedly dropped the child to push the caller onto a bed, grabbed the car keys and exited the house.

The caller followed Coyle-Hodges out of the home and into the car. As the caller was driving, Coyle-Hodges allegedly yelled and pulled the caller’s hair. The caller drove to the home of a family member of Coyle-Hodges’ and told him to get out of the car.

Coyle-Hodges then exited the vehicle and allegedly jumped on the car and caused damage to the vehicle’s windshield, roof and back window.

The caller left Coyle-Hodges at a family member’s home and drove away. When officers contacted Coyle-Hodges at the family member’s home, he allegedly resisted arrest, scuffling with officers. He also refused to get into the patrol vehicle.

Coyle-Hodges is charged with child abuse, assault, criminal damage, resisting arrest and misdemeanor interference with a court order.
