CASA GRANDE — A Casa Grande man is facing assault charges after he allegedly pulled a knife on another man.
According to Pinal County Superior Court records, William Hill, 33, is charged with aggravated assault.
Casa Grande Police officers were called out to a disturbance around 9:15 p.m. on March 28 at a hotel in the 500 block of North Cacheris Court. A man at the hotel told officers that another man, later identified as Hill, had allegedly propositioned his daughter. When he went to talk to Hill, Hill allegedly pulled a knife from his pocket and threatened him with it. The man also said Hill told him he had a gun but never produced one. Officers were unable to locate Hill that night.
At 10:59 p.m. the next day, the man asked the hotel to call police again after he spotted Hill on the property. Officers took Hill into custody and identified him by his Arizona ID.
Hill allegedly told officers that he presented the knife but did not open it the night before because he felt threatened. He denied threatening the man with a gun. Officers allegedly found “a few” knives on Hill and a BB gun.
