CASA GRANDE — After a nationwide search, Battalion Chief Tony LaFalce has been selected as the new assistant fire chief for the Casa Grande Fire Department.
“I am pleased to be hiring a top-level management position for the Fire Department from within our ranks,” Fire Chief Dave Kean said. “Chief LaFalce has risen through the ranks from firefighter up to assistant chief.”
According to the press release, LaFalce is a Casa Grande resident who served honorably in the Army for three years.
LaFalce has been serving as the Training Division chief at the Casa Grande Fire Department for several years. According to the press release, he has overseen the hiring and training of many of the Fire Department members.
According to the press release, LaFalce has been serving as the interim assistant fire chief the past eight months managing the Operations Division.
“Chief LaFalce has performed admirably during the time he has been in the interim position, and I look forward to seeing the advancements we will experience now that he is in the job permanently,” Kean said.
LaFalce is a 30-year veteran of the fire service with 18 years of that at the Casa Grande Fire Department.
“Chief LaFalce holds a bachelor’s degree in public safety leadership from Grand Canyon University and a master’s degree in executive leadership from Grand Canyon University,” says the press release.
Additionally, LaFalce is a graduate of the National Fire Academy Executive Fire Officer Program and last October, received the Chief Fire Officer designation through the Commission on Fire Accreditation International.
