CASA GRANDE — Pinal County Sheriff’s deputies and Casa Grande Police officers are still seeking at least two men in two armed robbery cases that may be related.

At 3:21 p.m. on Aug. 23, two men entered the front door of a home in the 1500 block of East Fontana Drive in Casa Grande after it was kicked in, according to Casa Grande Police reports. A woman at the home told officers that she was in the home when all of a sudden the front door was kicked in and two men entered her home.

One of the men, who had a gun, yelled at her to get on the floor and asked her where her money was while the other man went into her bedroom. The woman told the men that she didn’t have any money.

The woman told officers the men left the home quickly. Once they left, the woman said she realized her cellphone was missing and ran to a neighbor’s home to call 911. The woman said she was unable to get a good look at the men but one of them may have been wearing a maroon hoodie and had a black cloth covering his mouth.

The woman told officers that the only thing she noticed missing, other than her phone, was a drawer from a jewelry box that contained some costume jewelry. While processing the home for evidence, officers were able to find the woman’s phone.

The woman told officers that about an hour before the door was kicked in, an unknown man knocked on her door. She said that she looked at the man through the peephole in the door but did not open the door because she did not recognize the man. She told officers that the man got back into a silver, four-door sedan that was parked in front of her home. She was unable to identify what kind of sedan it was but she believed it was connected to the robbers.

The woman told officers that the home did not have surveillance cameras, and cameras at other homes in the area did not capture anything that seemed suspicious.

Officers were later notified of a similar incident that was being investigated by the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office in Arizona City that also involved a silver or gray sedan that was caught on a neighbor’s surveillance camera.

Anyone with information about the robberies should contact Casa Grande Police at 520-421-8700 or the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office at 520-866-5111.
