SIGNAL PEAK — Central Arizona College has canceled all in-person events and performances, including the upcoming winter 2021 performance season, "for the foreseeable future" as the school closely monitors the COVID-19 situation, a press release from the school said.

School officials will "closely monitor the progress of Pinal County and the state of Arizona, and will consider a return to campus when multiple safety benchmarks have been met," the press release said.

School facilities, maintenance and facilities staff have been working to ensure that public spaces on campus are clean and safe.

"They look forward to welcoming everyone back soon, and hope everyone has a safe and healthy holiday season," the press release said.

The college often hosts performances, concerts, plays and other events during the winter season.
