CHANDLER — Police have arrested suspects in the shooting death of a 25-year-old Casa Grande man earlier this month at a Chandler apartment complex.
The Chandler Police Department reported Thursday that people allegedly involved in the shooting death of Bobby Sanchez have been arrested. Their names and ages were not released.
At 10:40 p.m. on Oct. 5, Chandler Police were dispatched to an apartment complex, located at 3250 S. Arizona Ave., to a report of a shooting. According to a Chandler Police news release, there were numerous reports of gunshots at the location.
Officers arrived and located Sanchez, who had been shot numerous times. Chandler Fire Department EMTs transported Sanchez to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police were unable to locate any suspects the night of the incident.
Through investigation, detectives determined that four people were completing a drug transaction with Sanchez when two of them displayed handguns in an attempt to rob him, according to police. During the incident Sanchez sustained numerous gunshot wounds.
Police said that due to an ongoing investigation, no information on those arrested will be released.
