CASA GRANDE — A man and a woman suffered gunshot wounds over the weekend in Casa Grande in unrelated incidents, police said.

On Friday, a man was treated for a gunshot to his buttocks that he suffered about 9:22 p.m. at the Circle K on North Trekell Road north of Kortsen Road.

“A 31-year-old male got into some type of altercation with another male subject right in front of the store,” Casa Grande Police spokesman Thomas Anderson said. “The male suspect, who is outstanding (now wanted), allegedly shot him in the buttocks — one round. He ended up at the hospital.”

Anderson said the victim did not know the man who shot him.

“We did not find the suspect and the victim had non-life-threatening injuries,” Anderson said.

About 3:30 a.m. on Saturday a woman came into the emergency room at Banner Casa Grande Medical Center with a gunshot wound.

“There was a woman who was dropped off at the ER with a gunshot wound to her leg. It was non-life-threatening and she is stable. The report was that this was an accidental shooting so there wasn’t any arrest that I know of yet,” Anderson said.
