CASA GRANDE — Lucid Motors has produced a new recruitment video as it advertises jobs at its proposed manufacturing plant in Casa Grande as well as for its corporate headquarters in California.

The job openings include engineers and designers as well as positions for a proposed autonomous (self-driving) vehicle division.

The video includes imagery that is intended to promote the electric car company as an environmentally conscious company hoping to recruit like-minded employees.

“Lucid’s mission is to inspire the adoption of sustainable energy by creating the most captivating luxury electric vehicles, centered around the human experience,” the company says. “Working at Lucid Motors means having a shared vision to power the future in revolutionary ways. Be part of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to transform the automotive industry.

“Are you Lucid?”

Lucid Motors announced Casa Grande in 2016 as the location for its “cutting-edge automotive factory.” The company said it evaluated over 60 potential sites in 13 states in a year-long selection process before settling on a site along Thornton Road in west Casa Grande.

“In the end, we chose Arizona and Casa Grande for their pro-business minded, excellent workforce, forward-thinking academic institutions, proximity to our Silicon Valley headquarters, strong regional supply chain and availability of a suitable property,” the company said.

The company plans to begin production next year and plans to employ over 2,000 at the Casa Grande plant by 2022.

The salary range for line positions is listed as between $15 and $25 per hour, while engineering and manager positions run from $68,000 to $140,000 a year.

Positions to be filled at the Casa Grande plant include: facilities team member, GA manufacturing engineering manager, health and safety manager, paint and sealer materials engineer or manager, production operations manager, production team member, senior electrical engineer and senior manufacturing controls engineer.
