CASA GRANDE — Salad and Go announced that it will open its Casa Grande fast-food restaurant on June 7, about six months after the Planning and Zoning Commission approved the minor site plan.

The restaurant now stands at the site of the former JB’s restaurant at 1322 E. Florence Blvd.

In February, the former JB’s restaurant underwent demolition to make way for the fast food eatery.

According to the Facebook post, the location will open at 6:30 a.m. Monday and is ready to serve breakfast and lunch for under $10.

Salad and Go will also open a location Thursday in Ahwatukee. The chain plans to open two locations in Tucson in the summer and fall.

“More cities and towns to announce in the coming weeks,” a release from Salad and Go said. “Stay tuned as we work toward our goal of 21 new stores in 2021.”

According to the presentation shown during the Planning and Zoning Commission, the new building is 723 square feet and will have a double drive-thru to accommodate vehicles.

“Our mission is to make fresh, nutritious food convenient and affordable for everyone,” Salad and Go says on its website.

Co-founder Roushan Christofellis told Business Insider that the establishment serves as an alternative to legacy fast food.

“We know that so many of those people eating from traditional drive-thru fast food are forced to go there, because they, just like me, needed something convenient and affordable, and that was their only option,” Christofellis told Business Insider.
