CASA GRANDE — Two pet dogs died from smoke inhalation in a Casa Grande house fire Friday morning.

The Casa Grande Fire Department responded to the fire about 10 a.m. in a home at 1386 E. Linda Drive. Heavy smoke had filled the home and was coming out of the eaves when firefighters arrived.

Firefighters tried to resuscitate two dogs from the home but were unsuccessful. A neighbor was treated for hyperventilation at the scene but no other injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
