CHANDLER (AP) — A 20-year-old has been arrested for allegedly stabbing and killing his father.

Tempe police say Joshua Fox was booked Sunday on murder and other charges. Court records show Tempe and Chandler police were called Friday night to a parking lot near the border of the two cities. They found a man bleeding and unresponsive, and a vehicle fled, police said. The man later died, and an autopsy found he had 10 stab wounds, azfamily reported.

A short time later, police received a call about an erratic driver nearby. Authorities say Fox made an erratic turn, crashed and ran. He was found with a knife and an arm injury, and he was taken to a nearby hospital, police said.

After treatment, he told officers that he was in an argument with his father, John Fox, before the stabbing happened, according to police. Fox told police he blacked out during the argument and was “triggered.”

Fox has not entered a plea, and it was not clear if he had a lawyer who could respond to the charges on his behalf.
