ARIZONA CITY — Arizona Public Service Co. was planning to turn off the power in part of Arizona City on Wednesday but that had to be delayed due to the weather.
Jill Hanks, an APS spokeswoman, said the planned outage will be rescheduled and customers will receive notification of the new day when it is determined.
The planned outage was scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday to allow APS work crews time to complete needed upgrades in the area.
Crews will be removing a pole and replacing it with a new one. They’ll also be doing an upgrade with new underground cable. The upgrade is an investment in reliability for those customers, according to Hanks.
The impacted area will be Idalia Drive to Grayback Drive and Lamb Road to Century Drive in Arizona City — which includes about 490 customers.
