ARIZONA CITY — The Arizona City Fire District is working on various grants to upgrade radios and equipment at the fire station.
The district governing board also approved a resolution Monday to add the High Chaparral RV Park into the fire district’s boundaries.
“It’s the same rate that everybody else pays in town so it’s $3.25 per $10,000 in assessed value and they’ll pay just like everybody else does, they’ll pay in their property taxes,” Fire chief Jeff Heaton told the board. “We don’t know (assessed value) yet because they weren’t in our district and it can’t be released until we have a resolution.”
Heaton added that in the past year, the fire district responded seven times to the RV park and received seven calls per service that were granted by regional fire and 12 calls for AMR (ambulance), only one was a fire call.
