ARIZONA CITY — A late-model pickup truck was destroyed Thursday afternoon when it caught fire while the owner was working on it, authorities said.
At approximately 1 p.m., the Arizona City Fire District was called for a vehicle fire in the 8500 block of Raven Boulevard. Firefighters arrived to find the truck fully involved with fire in the driveway. The owner reported he was working on the vehicle when it started on fire.
The vehicle was a complete loss but no one was injured.
“The Arizona City Fire District would like to remind everyone to please be cautious when working on vehicles in the extremely hot weather,” Fire Chief Jeff Heaton said in an email.
