I-10 Girders

Drivers on Interstate 10 and Jimmie Kerr Boulevard should watch for overnight restrictions and possible delays over the next week.

CASA GRANDE — An off-ramp on Interstate 10 in Casa Grande will be closed for four days this week as work continues on a major widening project.

The Arizona Department of Transportation announced that the eastbound off-ramp for Jimmie Kerr Boulevard will be closed from 5 a.m. Wednesday to 9 a.m. Sunday. ADOT recommends drivers take the Sunland Gin Road exit and follow detour signs to access Jimmie Kerr.

There will also be a couple of minor restrictions in the area around that exit this week. Westbound I-10 will be down to one lane and a 12-foot vehicle width restriction from 8 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday near the Interstate 8 intersection.

Then the same restrictions will be in place for the eastbound lanes near the Florence Boulevard exit from 8 p.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday.

All these closures are related to the I-10 widening project between I-8 and Earley Road.
