CASA GRANDE — The University of Arizona’s Cooperative Extension program in Pinal County plans two community events this month.
The program will host a Cooperative Extension Day celebration from 9 a.m. to noon on Oct. 12 with family activities in the parking lot of the county administrative complex, 820 E. Cottonwood Lane. The event includes family activities and is free to attend.
On Oct. 17, the program plans a showing of a documentary film that examines family life in relation to adverse childhood experiences.
The film poses the question of why some children are permanently damaged by early adversity while others are able to thrive.
The viewing, which begins at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Arizona City, is open to the public and includes a discussion.
