CASA GRANDE — An Arizona City man is facing charges after allegedly attacking a nurse at a Casa Grande behavioral health clinic.

According to Pinal County Superior Court records, Hector M. Munoz, 51, is charged with aggravated assault on a medical professional, assault and disorderly conduct.

According to court records, at around 8 a.m. on Sept. 27, a nurse was making rounds delivering medication to patients at the clinic. Munoz allegedly refused to take his medication. The nurse insisted that he take the medication and later the nurse woke up on the floor.

A security officer at the clinic said he saw the nurse enter Munoz’s room and then heard the nurse scream. He allegedly found Munoz sitting on the nurse’s stomach.

The nurse had a cut under one eye and was unconscious when police officers arrived. The nurse was transported to a hospital.

Munoz allegedly told officers that he didn’t want to take his medication and the nurse was trying to force him to take it. The two struggled and the nurse fell to the ground and hit her head.
