CASA GRANDE — The Casa Grande Police Department has arrested a 38-year-old Arizona City man on suspicion of luring a minor for sexual exploitation.

Dennis Wayne Malaimare was arrested Thursday at a business in the 14000 block of South Sunland Gin Road in Arizona City. Malaimare was booked into the Pinal County Adult Detention Center. Charges of luring a minor for sexual exploitation, involving a minor in drug offenses, possession of a dangerous drug and possession of drug paraphernalia are being forwarded to the Pinal County Attorney’s Office for review.

A Casa Grande Police detective was contacted by Malaimare via an online dating app. Malaimare believed the detective was a 13-year-old girl.

Malaimare allegedly initiated the contact and established an online connection with the detective over the last three weeks. Malaimare requested a physical meeting between the two in Arizona City on April 2, and he was arrested. CGPD detectives met Malaimare at the requested location, where he was arrested and taken into custody.

CGPD executed a search warrant at Malaimare’s residence in Arizona City, resulting in the seizure of multiple items of electronic evidence. Numerous items of dangerous drugs and drug paraphernalia were also seized.

This remains an ongoing investigation as CGPD continues to process evidence and await forensic analysis of the seized evidence.
