ARIZONA CITY — An Arizona City man is facing charges after allegedly firing a gun in the air after getting into an argument with a family member.

According to Pinal County Superior Court records, Craig A. Ahumada, 34, is charged with disorderly conduct with a weapon.

Pinal County Sheriff’s deputies were called out to a report of shots fired at 11:21 p.m. on June 30 in the 14600 block of South Tampico Road in Arizona City.

Deputies found Ahumada in the backyard of the home. He allegedly told deputies that he was upset after getting into an argument with a family member, had walked out of the house into the backyard and fired two rounds from a gun into the air.

The family member reportedly told deputies that when Ahumada walked out of the home with the gun people were afraid that he might try to kill himself. They asked deputies to remove Ahumada from the home.
