ARIZONA CITY — An Arizona City man is facing charges after officers found the home he was staying in was illegally hooked up to the electrical grid.

According to Pinal County Superior Court records, Andrew L. Stone, 31, is facing one count of obtaining utility service fraudulently.

At 2:46 p.m. on Sept. 18, a Pinal County Sheriff’s deputy spotted a man in the backyard of a vacant home in the 9400 block of West Magnum Drive in Arizona City. The man, Stone, told the deputy that he was staying at the home off and on while helping another man clean up the residence.

The deputy noticed a window air conditioner running in one of the upper windows of the home. When the deputy checked the home’s power meter, he found the meter had been tampered with to provide electricity. The deputy arrested Stone on suspicion of obtaining utility services fraudulently.
