ARIZONA CITY — The Arizona City Daze celebration is a jam-packed day with different sights, sounds and smells.

This year’s event will feature more than 100 vendors, with the majority returning from last year, but there are a few new additions from baked goods to barbecue.

Along with the food vendors there will be small businesses selling hand-made crafts such as clothing, artwork and jewelry.

In addition to browsing through the different tents set up, keep an eye out for the annual car show that features classic and modified cars, and motorcycles.

Some of the cars will participate in the parade, and all the rides will be on display afterward.

There will also be a separate show featuring some of the cars set to participate in the parade.

There will be about 35 entries in the car show, and prizes will be awarded after the public votes.

Aside from the different vendors and cars, check out the live entertainment throughout the day.

Wildman Phil will be showing off some of his animals from 11 a.m. to noon and will be followed by Make Kids Smile for the presentation of the parade awards.

Afterward the “party band from Casa Grande” better known as the Highway Outlaws Band will perform from 1:25 p.m. to 3 p.m. playing hits by the Mavericks, Johnny Cash, Freddy Fender and others.

Closing out the entertainment will be the local band Northwind, playing classic country songs and current hits.

All the fun will be located along Alsdorf Road right off of Sun Land Gin Road.
