ARIZONA CITY — Faculty members and students from Arizona City Elementary School and Toltec Elementary School were honored at the monthly Toltec School District Board meeting this month.
Ginger Mayo was named Ace of the Month at Arizona City Elementary.
“Ginger has moved to a new position within the school this year and is doing a great job,” Arizona City Elementary Vice Principal Tracy McCain said. “She is organized during IEP meetings. Ginger is a team player, loves kids and is a role model for all other treasure hunters. She is also a very kind person to work with.”
Zeke Garcia and Daniel Yanez were named Kids at Hope Students of the Month.
“Zeke is an outstanding role model for others,” McCain said. “He is respectful, responsible and caring. Zeke comes to school prepared to learn and always strives to do his best on everything.”
“Daniel is an awesome new student that fits right in at ACES,” McCain said. “He is a Kid at Hope with dreams for his feature. He is funny, smart, respectful and is a joy to have in class.”
Felicia Delgado was named Treasure Hunter of the Month at Toltec Elementary.
“Felicia has taken on the new role of the front office admin assistant this year and administration as well as staff have had wonderful things to say about her,” Toltec Elementary School Principal Misty Huffman said.
“Felicia is challenged everyday and has had to learn many new tasks. However, even though she is always busy you can always count on her lighting up the room with her positivity, high energy and her contagious laugh.”
Tigers of the Month were Benino Llamas Jimenez Jr. and Angelina Jimenez.
“Angelina is a very responsible, motivated and caring student at Toltec,” Huffman said. “She comes to school everyday with an excitement to learn and is dedicated to her student work. She is a loyal friend and is always looking to help others. Her work ethic and focus on doing well is an inspiration to her classmates and peers.”
“Benino is off to a great start this year,” Huffman said. “He comes to school daily with a positive attitude and an eagerness to learn. When faces with difficult tasks, he attacks them head on. He is a kind, respectful and honest student. He is helpful to his classmates as well as other students and staff. He is a great role model for the younger students.”
