APACHE JUNCTION — A California man is facing drug charges after being stopped by Apache Junction Police with about 30 pounds of methamphetamine in his car.

According to Pinal County Superior Court records, Rodolfo F. Sepeda, 27, is charged with two counts of transporting dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Apache Junction Police officers stopped the vehicle Sepeda was driving on Oct. 29 at 11:48 p.m. near Idaho Road and Broadway Avenue for allegedly driving under the influence.

During the department’s inventory of the vehicle before it was towed, officers found two construction tool bags with about 30 pounds of methamphetamine worth about $60,000 to $80,000, according to Apache Junction Police spokesman Marshall Harshman.
