APACHE JUNCTION – A Pinal County man was arrested after he allegedly tried to bite a police officer who was trying to detain him in Apache Junction.
According to Pinal County Superior Court records, Alejandro Angulo, 25, is charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest. Officers did not have a current address for Angulo.
Around 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 12, an officer was attempting to talk with Angulo after he allegedly jumped a fence onto state trust land. While the officer was trying to contact Angulo, Angulo allegedly walked into traffic.
When the officer tried to detain Angulo, he allegedly struggled with the officer, damaging the officer’s pants and then attempted to bite the officer.
