APACHE JUNCTION — An Apache Junction man is facing charges after he allegedly pulled a machete on a woman.
According to Pinal County Superior Court records, Peter M. Patenge, 40, is charged with aggravated assault.
At 9:01 p.m. on April 15, Patenge allegedly got into an argument with a woman he did not know outside a convenience store in the 2900 block of South Tomahawk Road. He allegedly pulled out a machete and threatened to cut the woman’s head off.
When an Apache Junction Police officer caught up with him at 9:36 p.m. in the 1500 block of East 30th Avenue, Patenge allegedly admitted to threatening the woman and told officers where he threw the machete in the bushes. Officers noted that Patenge appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.
